The goal of the conference is to get industry, academia, non-government organizations and suppliers together in a casual atmosphere that allows for the free flow of information, ideas and networking. Appealing features of the conference includes a single program of sessions, joining in meals together, poster sessions, social hours, networking and information exchange.
The conference encourages frank and engaging discussions about environmental challenges specific to the food and beverage industry. Real experiences, best practices, and lessons learned are shared to drive improvement across the industry. The conference provides education through technical content and provides Professional Development Hour (PDH) credits for its sessions.
No Ties or Sales Pitches
Processors value the conference as a setting for genuine engagement given that presentations are not published and attended by their industry colleagues only. This conference is not a trade show, does not promote sales pitches, and there are no published proceedings of the conference. Use of social media is encouraged with no videos and limited use of photos. All in a casual no-neckties environment.
Speakers are encouraged to use electronic format for their presentation. Computer projection equipment will be available including both a computer and a projector so you need only bring a memory/USB stick with your slide presentation unless you require a presentation program other than PowerPoint.
