The community event during FBEC is historically an opportunity for attendees to join together and give back through a local service project that supports networking amongst participants. FBEC is excited to partner with Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles (FOSWST) for our 2024 Community Event! Dedicated to promoting sea turtle conservation through awareness and education for the residents and the 4 million+ visitors to Walton County, Florida, Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles is focused on locating and monitoring sea turtle nests and overseeing volunteers for the protection of the turtles and their hatchlings.
FBEC Community Event participants will head to a nearby beach to participate in a beach walk clean up and learn more about how their efforts have helped support FOSWST’s mission and protect the local sea turtles.
