An important message from the FBEC Steering Committee

The FBEC Steering Committee, supported by AFFI, has made the difficult decision to cancel the Food and Beverage Environmental Conference (FBEC) on April 5-8, 2020 at the Renaissance Esmeralda – Indian Wells hotel in Palm Springs, California.

FBEC and AFFI both prioritize the health and safety of attendees and presenters at our gatherings. As you know, we have been closely monitoring the situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and now we have seen warnings or threats declared by all levels of government.  Recent developments with the coronavirus and the importance of minimizing the spread of the illness were key factors in our decision to cancel the conference. Also, the expanding reach of COVID-19 has made it impossible for us to deliver the high-quality program and networking opportunities that make our conference unique. Additionally, concerns expressed by conference participants and recent travel restrictions and limits on gatherings by organizations and government contributed to FBEC’s decision to cancel.

Based on the unprecedented nature of this situation, we are reviewing our current meeting and sponsorship cancellation policies. Please give us some time to determine our next steps in handling registrations. We will be in further contact.

If you booked your hotel room in the FBEC block at the Renaissance Esmeralda – Indian Wells your hotel room will be automatically cancelled by the property. If you booked a room in another hotel or outside the FBEC block at the Renaissance Esmeralda – Indian Wells, please contact the property directly to cancel your reservation.

Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time and for your continued support of FBEC.
